Following last year’s success, the popular Sumida Aquarium Collaboration Afternoon Tea returns with a refreshed concept.
In its third year, the 2026 edition is inspired by the themes of “Edo” and the Ogasawara Islands, expressing the iconic marine life of Sumida Aquarium and its dreamlike exhibits through playful and imaginative sweets and savory dishes.
Highlights include the “Goldfish Jelly with Milk Ice Cream,” inspired by the enchanting Edorium goldfish displays, and the Rock Cream Puff featuring twin baby penguins born in May 2026. These adorable creations are as photogenic as they are delicious.
Savory items incorporate ingredients and Japanese elements associated with the Ogasawara Islands, capturing the essence of a summer day at the aquarium in every bite.
A special plan that includes admission tickets to Sumida Aquarium is also available, allowing guests to meet the real-life creatures featured in the afternoon tea.

A refreshing glass dessert inspired by the dreamlike “Edorium” goldfish exhibit inside Sumida Aquarium. Ginger and blue Curacao Syrup jelly is paired with milk ice cream, topped with delicate agar-made goldfish for a beautifully transparent, summery finish.
A matcha shortcake served in a cocotte dish, decorated with three popular garden eel species from the aquarium. Enjoy the refreshing aroma and subtle bitterness of matcha in this playful creation.
A cream puff inspired by the rocky penguin habitat. Filled with cream created using Ogasawara salt and topped with cookies representing the twin baby penguins born in May 2026.
Black cookies made with bamboo charcoal, inspired by the sand tiger shark, sandwich a rich rum raisin cream made with Ogasawara rum for a sophisticated, adult flavor.
A milk chocolate mousse shaped like an adorable fur seal face, with a refreshing passion fruit filling. Brown sugar sablé adds depth and contrast.
A long-time favorite inspired by jellyfish. This dessert features glossy strawberry mousse with strawberry jam hidden inside, paired with an almond cream tart base.
A soup-style curry made with lemon, tomato, scallops, shrimp, and white fish, inspired by Ogasawara ingredients and flavors. Served alongside a chilled corn potage, perfect as a refreshing palate cleanser.
A limited-edition drink inspired by the goldfish tanks of “Edorium.” Featuring melon jelly to evoke the underwater world and strawberry jelly goldfish, finished with refreshing soda.
Available as alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
